Our client, a leader in innovative sensor technology and autonomous vehicle solutions, is seeking a Sensor System Validation Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Sensor System Validation Engineer, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting the development and validation of next-generation sensor systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, collaborative spirit, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $70-$75/hour + Benefits
What's the Job?
- Contribute to sensor systems (lidar / camera / radar) verification and validation (V&V) activities for cutting-edge vehicle platforms.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, software engineers, and hardware specialists to develop and refine V&V methodologies for advanced sensor architectures.
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans in simulation environments to verify sensing system requirements and validate overall system performance.
- Translate bounding scenario requirements into actionable data mining plans and execute these plans to generate validation datasets.
- Integrate and orchestrate software pipelines to convert raw sensor data into meaningful system-level KPIs, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
What's Needed?
- A Ph.D. degree in a relevant field or a master's degree in engineering with 3+ years of experience in sensor or perception systems development and testing.
- Familiarity with at least one sensor modality: camera, lidar, or radar.
- Experience with data mining tools and languages such as SQL, PySpark, Scala, or similar.
- Proficiency in analyzing data using high-level programming languages like Python, Matlab, or C++.
- Strong communication skills and experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
